The CMA 2014 in France!

DinerThe Congrès mondial acadien 2014 shined bright in France, as 
representatives of the event invited participants at the Festival 
Interceltique de Lorient and the Saint Aubin sur Mer Acadian week to come celebrate Acadia of the World with us in 2014.

At a business lunch in Lorient, the CMA 2014 economic component was presented to business people from Brittany and Vienna in order to encourage overseas exchanges with Acadia of the Lands and Forests.

The most popular show of Acadia of the Lands and Forests: "L'Acadie des terres et forêts en fête!" performed in front of an audience of more than 300 people during the Saint Aubin sur Mer Acadian week in order to present the story of the 5th Congrès mondial acadien host territory and invite them to the 2014 festivities.

Tips from the Canada Border Services Agency

Considering the potential increase of traffic at the New Brunswick / Maine border during the Congrèes mondial acadien 2014 , the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) is working with the CMA 2014  Organizing Committee to help minimize impacts at the border and ensure that crossings at the border during the event go as smoothly as possible.There are also a number of things that Congress participants can do to help ensure a smooth border crossing. Read more...

Bus TourPrecongress Bus Tour

On Friday, August 2, a group of 2014 World Acadian Congress dignitaries traveled throughout the American side of the St. John Valley on a Cyr Bus Line coach. The group included members of the Congrèes mondial acadien 2014  Organizing Committee, the regional committees from Maine, New Brunswick, and Quebec, and the Directors of the St. John Valley Historical Societies. In addition, were members of a committee, who are organizing bus tours to be held during the Congrèes mondial acadien in August 2014, as well as youth tour guide trainees. Read more...

3 FrontieresThe Three Border's Boundary Site Holds Its Firts Bicycle Ride

The Three Borders’ Boundary Site, a project supported by the Congrès mondial acadien, will allow people to access the point where our three territories meet at the end of Beau Lake. Cycling, walking, and swimming trails are planned and currently being marked out. Already in 2012 and 2013, canoe and kayak teams, guided by Dr. Carrier from Saint-François, went down Saint-François and Saint-Jean rivers and stopped by the Three Borders’ boundary. This time, it’s the cyclists’ turn to ride the trails between Glazier Lake and Rivière-Bleue.Read more...

 

The CMA 2014 seeks the support of Acadia of the Lands and Forests for its accomodations directory!

The Congrès mondial acadien 2014 (CMA 2014) is seeking support from the population of Acadia of the Lands and Forests in order to create a data base for private accommodations. People who have a room(s), house or cottage(s) available for the seventeen days of the CMA 2014 will be able to register simply by filling out the form available on our Web site at: http://www.cma2014.com/fr/hebergementprive.
