Edmundston Book Fair

The Congrès mondial acadien 2014 is proud to have partnered with the 28th Salon du livre d’Edmundston, held at the Cité des Jeunes A.-M.-Sormany on April 18th to 21st, 2013, to present some conferences on the particularities of Acadia of the Lands and Forests. Those present have certainly learned about the Acadians from northwestern New-Brunswick, the Temiscouata region in Quebec and the state of Maine in the United States. Read more...

 

Rencontres France-Acadie

Representatives of the Congrès mondial acadien 2014 returned to Acadia of the Lands and Forests satisfied and motivated from their many meetings held during the Rencontres France-Acadie in Nantes, France. The official pre-congress event allowed a significant Acadian delegation composed of stakeholders from postsecondary education, economic, cultural and tourism development, to discuss and develop partnerships with their counterparts from France. Does your family plan to meet during the Congrès mondial acadien 2014? There are already 111 registered families, 54 in Maine, 37 in northwestern New-Brunswick and 20 in Témiscouata, which will gather between August 8th and 24th, 2014 in Acadia of the Lands and Forests. Read more...

 

 

Rencontre de la famille Ouellet.te

For allthose interested in joining the members of the committee for the big Ouellet.te family reunion, which will be held Aug. 16-17, 2014, during the Congrès mondial acadien, there is an important meeting scheduled Wednesday, May 1,  2013, at 7p.m. at the Cité des Jeunes A.-M.-Sormany High School in Edmundston.  If you would like to join the committee but cannotattend this meeting, please contact Maryse (506-739-9074).
