Acadia of the Lands and Forests will be hostess, in 2014, to relatives who will converge from the four corners of Acadie and of the world for the long-awaited reunions. More than 120 families of Acadian ancestry and from elsewhere will come together within the Congrès mondial acadien to celebrate in a convivial spirit. Read more...
Contest "Decorate your Yard!": 1st drawing!
The team of the Congrès mondial acadien 2014 wishes to congratulate Lionel Arsenault from Grand Falls (NB), the municipality of Saint-François-de-Madawaska (NB) and Sears in Saint-Quentin (NB) who are the lucky winners of the first random draw of the contest “Decorate your yard”.
The citizens, municipalities and businesses of Acadia of the Lands and Forests may still submit the pictures of their decorations until September 30 in order to be eligible for the last drawing of the 2013 edition of the contest.

"Decorate your Yard !" Contest
The Congrès mondial acadien 2014 invites residents, companies, and communities of the Acadia of the Lands and Forests territory to take part in its new annual contest called "Decorate Your Yard!" by displaying Acadian and CMA 2014 colors during the summer period between August 1st and September 31st, 2013. Festival western of Saint-Tite!
Representatives of the Congrès mondial acadien 2014 were present, last weekend, at the Festival western de Saint-Tite in Québec. In front of 7,000 participants, the team of the CMA 2014 paraded on its allegorical float which was drawn by one of the best looking six-horse team there. While they were at the festival, during Acadian night, the team took the opportunity to distribute information on the 2014 festivities.
Travel Tips from the Canada Border Services Agency
Considering the potential increase of traffic at the New Brunswick / Maine border during the Congrèes mondial acadien 2014 , the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) is working with the CMA 2014 Organizing Committee to help minimize impacts at the border and ensure that crossings at the border during the event go as smoothly as possible.There are also a number of things that Congress participants can do to help ensure a smooth border crossing. The Congrès mondial acadien 2014 (CMA 2014) is seeking support from the population of Acadia of the Lands and Forests in order to create a data base for private accommodations. People who have a room(s), house or cottage(s) available for the seventeen days of the CMA 2014 will be able to register simply by filling out the form available on our Web site at: http://www.cma2014.com/fr/hebergementprive.
