Business Plan Contest of the CMA 2014
(Edition -February 27, 2014)
Under the theme "Realize your business dream!", the first business plan contest is launched in the region of Acadia of the Lands and Forests. This contest is organized under the economic component of the Congrès mondial acadien 2014. The business plan contest aims at creating and starting three companies on the territory of Acadia of the Lands and Forests by people aged between 18 and 34.

Programming of the 2014 Women’s Summit is announced!

The Congrès mondial acadien 2014 (2014 World Acadian Congress) and the Regroupement féministe du Nouveau-Brunswick (Feminist grouping of New Brunswick) unveiled today the programming of the next Women's Summit to be held from August 17 to 19, 2014 in Edmundston (NB) during the major celebrations planned for this summer.

Pohénégamook hosts the third Grand Youth Rally 2014!

The Société Nationale de l'Acadie launched the registration period of the third edition of the Grand Youth Rally (GRJ) today, the official youth event of the Congrès mondial acadien 2014 to be held from August 12 to 17, 2014, in the town of Pohénégamook, in the Témiscouata region of Québec.

The CCNB will be the media center for the CMA 2014
(Edition - January 13, 2014)
The CCNB - Edmundston Campus will play a key role in holding the Congrès mondial acadien 2014 (CMA)which will take place from 8 to 24 August 2014 : it will serve as a media center and information for the event. A collaboration agreement to this effect was signed today between the two partners.
Through this agreement, local CCNB Edmundston will be turned into a newsroom for various local and national media. In addition, a public information center will also be created. Read more...

August 15 th 2014 will be a special one for Madawaska, small town in the northeast of Maine. Acadia of the World will be visiting. Coming as a surprise to many, Madawaska holds a strong Acadian population, and it has been celebrating National Acadian Day for more than 35 years. So its people were thrilled when they learned they would host the August 15th festivities for the Congrès mondial acadien 2014. One-way ticket: Opening Ceremonies (Edition - October 7, 2013)
The bank of Beau Lake is very meaningful to the Congrès mondial acadien 2014. It's the meeting point of all three hosting regions of New Brunswick, Quebec, and Maine. For that reason, it has been chosen as the location for the first phase of the opening ceremonies of the 5th Congrès mondial acadien. Tradition will meet modernity at the symbolic opening ceremony of August 8th 2014. People will be able return to the sources of their history and contemplate the evolution of the community. Upon the very start of the opening ceremony at Beau Lake, the values of the congress will already be put forward, including looking beyond the borders, an Acadia that welcomes everyone from around the world, and the new reality of modern communications and social medias. One-way ticket to the Grand Youth Rally
(Edition - June 17, 2013) In 2004, on the fringe of the Congrès mondial acadien in Nova Scotia, acadian and francophone youth gathered for the first Grand rassemblement jeunesse, an event organized by the Société Nationale de l'Acadie. Halifax hosted 250 participants, from the Atlantic provinces, Quebec, Canada and the entire planet. A glimpse of the future was presented in Nova Scotia's capital. Workshops and projects showcased a strong common identity. In 2009, the Grand rassemblement jeunesse's place was solidified in a new Acadie, during its second edition, held in the Acadian Peninsula.
